Rachel Hanley has six years of experience working in the nonprofit sector prior to obtaining her juris doctorate from Notre Dame. She worked two years in Dallas inner city schools for the Girl Scouts of Tejas Council overseeing school program sites. Following this, she took a position as Youth Director for a church in Houston. Along with overseeing a program for a diverse group of teens, she developed a team of volunteers and coordinated a joint mentorship program with the local junior high. Out of law school, she served a year fellowship with The Sargent Shriver Poverty Law Center and then settled into a career as a negotiating attorney for a telecommunications company. She now works full-time for PicDiversity and outside of the nonprofit, enjoys dancing, puns, street festivals, writing, and illustrating. She is also married and enjoys time with her husband and their dog POTUS.
